Logan Case Named CSC First Team Academic All-American

AUSTIN, Texas – Western Michigan junior setter Logan Case has been named to the 2022 Academic All-America® First Team, as chosen by the College Sports Communicators. Case was one of five student-athletes on the First Team to boast a 4.00 GPA.
 
Named an All-MAC First Team selection for the third year in a row, Case led the Mid-American Conference and ranked fourth nationally with 11.66 assists per set. The Maineville, Ohio, native handed out a total of 1,341 assists this season, second-most in the conference and ninth-most in the nation.
 
An Academic All-MAC honoree for the second consecutive year, Case helped Western Michigan post a league-high 13.05 assists per set in 2022, a mark which ranked 14th in the country. The junior set the table for a WMU offense which paced the MAC and ranked 20th in the nation at 13.95 kills per set.
 
A French major, Case is the sixth Bronco in program history to earn Academic All-America accolades and the fourth to be named to the First Team. She is the first Academic All-American volleyball player for WMU since Allyson Doyle was selected to the First Team in 2010.
