Women's Basketball Falls on Road to Colorado

BOULDER, Colo. – The Western Michigan women's basketball team suffered a 75-37 road loss versus Colorado University on Wednesday, Nov. 30 at Colorado University Events Center.

Despite getting good looks from the field, the Broncos had a night where nothing seemed to find the net. As a team, Western Michigan shot 14-54 (25.9 percent) for the game, as well as a 12.1 percent from deep, while Colorado capitalized on 30 of their 57 shot attempts (52.6 percent) and added three of 10 (30 percent) from deep. Both teams got 20 points from the bench.

Leading the Broncos on the night was Lauren Ross with 13 points on 4-for-7 from the field and 5-of-6 from the charity stripe. Abby Voss poured in eight points on 3-for-6 from the field including two from long distance and three steals.

The Buffalos were led by three in double figures Quay Miller (20 points), Aaronette Vonleh (11 points), and Jaylyn Sherrod (10 points).

The Broncos continue on the road this week to Fort Collins, Colorado. They will face off against Colorado State University on Saturday, December 3 at 2 p.m. at Moby Arena.
