Western Michigan's Case, King Three-Peat as All-MAC First-Teamers

CLEVELAND – For the third consecutive season, Western Michigan setter Logan Case and outside hitter Maggie King have been selected to the All-MAC First Team, the conference office announced on Saturday.  
 
A three-time MAC West Setter of the Week award winner, Case was the MAC's overall leader in both total assists (1341) and assists per set (11.66), and led the conference in league play as well, with 832 helpers and an 11.72 assists per set average. At the end of the regular season, the junior was the national leader in total assists, and ranked third in the nation in assists per set.
 
A native of Maineville, Ohio, Case racked up 50 or more assists 11 times and had 60 or more helpers on three occasions. She helped fuel a Western Michigan offense which led the conference and ranked in the top-25 nationally in kills per set at 13.95. Case also tallied 277 digs (2.41 per set) on the way to a team-high 14 double-doubles.
 
A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, King was a six-time MAC West Offensive Player of the Week honoree this season. She led the Mid-American Conference in both kills (458) and points (515.0) during the regular season, ranking 13th in the nation in points and 15th nationally in kills. King finished second in the conference in both kills per set (3.98) and points per set (4.48), as well as third in both service aces (43) and aces per set (0.37).
 
King racked up double-digit kills in 26 of Western Michigan's 30 matches, 16 of 18 conference tilts and in each of WMU's final 13 matches, including a career-high 30 in a five-set victory over Northern Illinois in the season finale. The senior also added 302 digs (2.63 per set) to finish second on the Broncos with 13 double-doubles.
