Blackburn, Pierre-Webster and Canada Earn MAC Honors

CLEVELAND – Junior forward Jenna Blackburn, sophomore defender Mira Pierre-Webster and freshman midfielder Madi Canada of the Western Michigan women's soccer team have all earned Mid-American Conference honors for the 2022 season.
 
Blackburn was named First Team All-Mac, Pierre-Webster was voted Second Team All-MAC and Canada was voted to the MAC All-Freshman Team.
 
Blackburn was WMU's top point-scorer with 12 on five goals and two assists. She played in and started 17 games and led the team with 45 shots and 24 shots on goal. Blackburn's five goals tied her for the team lead with Reagan Wisser. The Grand Blanc, Mich., native tallied all of her points in MAC play to earn the honors for the first time in her career.
 
Pierre-Webster was a defensive force on WMU's back line but also showed her ability to get forward with three assists on the season. Two of her assists came in wins against Kent State and Akron. She also went 90 minutes in six of the 15 games she played in this season. Pierre-Webster also earns the honors for the first time in her career.
 
Canada played in all 19 games and started in 17 as a defensive midfielder, helping dictate WMU's play. She contributed one assist on the season while firing off 22 shots. Canada also went the full 90 in seven games on the season.
