Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women's Soccer Falls at Toledo, 2-0

TOLEDO, Ohio – The Western Michigan women's soccer team dropped its second-straight Mid-American Conference contest, falling 2-0 at Toledo on Sunday afternoon.

The Broncos (2-7-0, 0-2-0 MAC) were outshot 18-9 overall and 9-4 in shots on goal. Senior forward Bailey Korhorn had a team-high three shots, landing two on goal, while Morgan Otteson and Jenna Blackburn each had two shots and one on goal. Senior goalkeeper Maggie Rogers made seven saves on the day.

The game was tied until late in the first half when Grace Turksi scored in the 38th minute to put the Rockets up 1-0. Sophomore Ellie Pool scored just 1:08 into the second half to push the lead to 2-0.

WMU had five of its nine shots in the second half but Rocket goalie Emma Boutorwick made two of her our total saves in the final 45 minutes.

Western Michigan heads on the road to Eastern Michigan on Thursday at 4 p.m. before hosting Central Michigan on Sunday at 2 p.m. Sunday's game can also be seen live on Bronco All-Access.
