KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Summer ball for several Western Michigan baseball players is in full swing as each of the major collegiate baseball leagues are now in action. Below is an update on the Broncos who are currently in action across the various summer leagues.

Chillicothe Paints (Prospect League)

• Jimmy Allen – MIF
  • Hitting .299 with 10 RBIs, 17 runs scored
  • Currently on a four-game hitting streak
  • Had a 3-for-5 performance with four runs scored and three RBIs on June 26
• Dane Armbrustmacher – LHP
  • 3-0 record with a 1.96 ERA and 31 strikeouts
  • Leading the Paints in Wins and ranks fourth in ERA
  • On June 29 pitched three innings, striking out eight of the nine batters faced
• Ryan Watt – RHP
  • Holding opponents to a .167 on-base percentage

Chillicothe Mudcats (M.I.N.K. League)

• Josh Swinehart – OF
  • Ranked fourth on the team with .304 batting average
  • Scored 14 runs with two doubles, three home runs and 12 RBIs
  • Ranked third in the M.I.N.K. League in home runs and fourth in RBIs
• Max Huntley – INF
  • Third on the team with a .313 batting average
  • Recorded 10 RBIs, eight runs scored and four doubles
  • Have an RBI in six of the 14 games played
• Jacob Gernon – RHP
  • Four appearances on the mound
  • Registered eight strikeouts in six innings
• Joe Shapiro – LHP
  • Have a 1.28 ERA in five appearances
  • Allowed just one earned run and six hits with six strikeouts

Anchorage Glacier Pilots (Alaska Summer Collegiate Baseball League)

• Brady Miller – RHP
  • 1-0 record with a 0.00 ERA in two appearances
  • Registered three strikeouts
• Easton Sikorski – RHP
  • 1-0 record with a 0.54 ERA in 16.2 innings
  • Registered 13 strikeouts and holding opponents to a .242 batting average
  • Went 7.0 innings, allowing no earned runs on five hits with five strikeouts in last outing on June 25
• Connor Charping – C
  • Played first game on June 21

Michigan Monarchs (Great Lakes League)

• Cade Sullivan – INF
  • Ranked fourth on the team with a .362 batting average
  • Have 20 runs scored, two doubles and 11 RBIs
  • Earned a hit in seven of the last 10 days
• Gavin Doyle – INF
  • .284 batting average with 17 runs scored, four doubles, one home runs and 13 RBIs
  • On the mound have a 1-0 record with a 4.50 ERA in 12 innings
  • On a six-game hitting streak
• Ryan Missal – OF
  • Hitting .300 with nine runs scored, one double, three home runs and five RBIs
  • Have a .429 on-base percentage and .550 slugging percentage

Muskegon Clippers (Great Lakes League)

• Dylan Nevar – OF
  • Hitting .313 with 10 runs scored, three doubles and five RBIs
  • Have registered 12 walks with two stolen bases
  • Earned a hit in seven of the last 10 games
• Brendan Harrity – INF
  • Have a .310 batting average
  • Registered seven runs scored, one double and one RBI
  • In last game, went 2-for-4 with one walk and one run scored
