CLEVELAND – The Western Michigan men's soccer team landed 10 student-athletes on the Academic All-Mid-American Conference Team, tying for the most in the conference.
Eric Conerty (3.86, supply chain management), Landon Fischer (3.30, marketing),
Caden Jackman (3.88, accountancy),
Daniel Nimick (3.79, biomedical sciences),
Mike Melaragni (4.00, biomedical sciences),
Antonio Rizzo (3.63, sport management),
Jaylen Shannon (3.46 human resource management),
Charlie Sharp (3.75, business),
Dylan Sing (4.00, integrated supply management),
Brendan Skinner (3.89, psychology) all earned the honors.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
Melaragni and Sing were two of just five student-athletes with a perfect 4.0 in the conference.
Conerty, Jackman, Melaragni, Rizzo, Shannon and Skinnner were all repeat honors, while Fischer, Nimick, Sharp and Sing all earned the honors for the first time.
