Dylan Sing have been named CoSIDA First Team Academic All-District V.
The 2020-21 Academic All-District® Men's Soccer Team, selected by College Sports Information Directors of America, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Melaragni and Sing both sport 4.0 GPAs, with Melaragni majoring in biomedical sciences and Sing in integrated supply management. It's the first CoSIDA honors for both student-athletes.
Melaragni was a First Team All-Mid-American Conference and Second Team United Soccer Coaches All-North Region selection after leading the Broncos in points, goals and assists on the season. The Rochester, Mich., native had a career-high 16 points on six goals and four assists in just 11 games.
Sing was second on the team in scoring with 11 points, tallying five goals and one assists. The Berrien Center, Mich., native also was second on the team in shots on goal with 10. He capped off the season with goal and an assist in WMU's historic 4-3 win over Akron.
Both are now eligible for CoSIDA Academic All-American honors, which will be announced in July.
