Zieglar and Tjon-A-Joe Named All-MAC

CLEVELAND – Sophomore Lindsey Zieglar and junior Femke Tjon-A-Joe of the Western Michigan women's tennis team have been voted to the All-Mid-American Conference Team by the league's coaches, announced on Wednesday afternoon.
 
Zieglar was voted First Team All-MAC after posting a 17-4 overall record in singles, which included a 10-4 mark in conference play. She was named MAC Singles Player of the Week three times during the season, going 7-1 at No. 1, 9-2 at No. 2 and 1-1 at No. 3. The Daytona Beach, Fla., native also posted a 13-5 record in doubles play.
 
Tjon-A-Joe was voted Second Team All-MAC after finishing the season with a 10-9 record in singles. She played the majority of her matches at No. 1, going 6-8, and also finished 4-1 at No. 2. The Corpus Christi, Texas, native also played every one of her doubles matches at No. 1, going 9-9.
 
The honors are the first for both Zieglar and Tjon-A-Joe.
