KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan women's tennis team wraps up the 2020-21 season this weekend, hosting Toledo on Friday at 1 p.m. outdoors at Sorensen Courts and then traveling to Northern Illinois on Sunday at 2 p.m.
Prior to the start of Friday's match, the Broncos will take time to honor its outgoing senior class of
Jeryn Jack and
Valerie Riegraf. The duo has combined for 48 wins in singles play and 35 in doubles.

WMU enters the final week of the season after splitting with Eastern Michigan and Ball State last weekend. Western Michigan earned a 4-3 win at home over the Eagles before falling to the MAC Champion Cardinals, 6-1, on Sunday. WMU is 9-2 at home this season.
SCOUTING THE ROCKETS
Toledo comes to Kalamazoo on a seven-match winning streak and most recently won 4-3 at home against Buffalo last Friday. The Broncos and the Rockets met back on April 9 in Toledo, with UT taking the match 4-3.
Cassie Alcala has a team-high 16 wins on the season in singles play with a 14-4 record at No. 1 and a 2-0 record at No. 2. Shalini Tallamraju is second on the team with 15 wins and a 15-5 record, going 5-1 at No. 5 and 10-4 at No. 6. Alcala and Sloan Teske have had the most success in doubles, boasting a 0-2 record all coming at No. 1.
SCOUTING THE HUSKIES
Northern Illinois also split last weekend in a home and home series with Bowling Green and Buffalo. NIU fell at BGSU 6-1 before rebounding to beat UB 4-3. The Broncos and the Huskies met back in Kalamazoo on March 28 with WMU taking the match 6-1.
Diana Lukyanova is 20-6 on the season to lead NIU in singles wins. Lukyanova is 17-5 at No. 3, 2-0 at No. 1 and 1-1 at No. 2. Maria Potsi is 15-9 overall, all coming at No. 1. Iullia Dmitrieva and Lukyanova have been paired up the most, posting an 11-4 record in doubles play. The duo is 7-4 at No. 3, 3-0 at No. 2 and 1-0 at No. 1.
