Scouting the Broncos
Western Michigan enters the MAC Tournament as the No.2 seed with an overall and MAC record of 17-4. This will be the third meeting this season between WMU and Ohio and the first meeting in the conference tournament since 2014.

Bontrager Named MAC Player of the Year
Senior outside hitter
Rachel Bontrager became the ninth player in school history and first since Zakiya Pope back in 2000 to earn MAC Player of the Year honors. Bontrager was also named First Team All-MAC for the third year in a row after leading the conference and ranking sixth in the NCAA with 344 kills. Bontrager's 4.59 kills per set ranks first in the MAC and 12
th in the nation.
Case Named MAC co-Setter & Freshman of the Year
Freshman
Logan Case earned MAC co-Setter of the Year honors, marking the fifth Bronco in program history to do so and the first since Terin Norris back in 2012. Case was also named MAC Freshman of the Year, the 10th Bronco to earn the award and first since 2015. Case ended the regular season leading the MAC and the NCAA with 12.16 assists per set.
MAC Tournament Success
Western Michigan seeks its first trip back to the MAC Championship game since 2017. The Broncos look to capture is sixth MAC Tournament Title and first since 2014.
Getting the Conference W's
WMU's 17 MAC wins is tied for the second most in a single-season in school history and the most since 2000.
Leaders of the MAC
The Broncos ended the regular season leading the MAC in hitting percentage (.262), assists per set (13.61) and kills per set (14.76).
Match-Up with the Bobcats
In the regular season the Broncos and Bobcats split its season series in Athens, Ohio. Ohio defeated WMU in four sets before the Broncos rallied from a 2-1 deficit in match two to win in five.

With a win the Broncos will advance to the MAC Volleyball Championship and face the winner of No.1 Bowling Green versus No.4 Miami. The MAC Championship is set for Saturday, April 3 at 5:00 p.m. and can be streamed on ESPN Plus.
