CLEVELAND – Western Michigan women's tennis'
Ana Guadiana and
Kaitlyn Rogosch have been named Mid-American Conference Women's Tennis Doubles Team of the Week.
The newly formed pair went 2-0 at No. 2 doubles as the Broncos defeated Buffalo and Northern Illinois last weekend. The duo defeated Natale Antoniou-Karademi and Gabriella Akopyan in a thrilling match, 7-5, to help the Broncos claim the doubles point on the way to 4-3 victory over the Bulls. In Sunday's win over the Huskies they once again helped the Broncos claim the doubles point with a 6-1 win over Fernanda Naves and Lara Slisko. Prior to the weekend the two had not played with each other.
This is the second Doubles Team of the Week honors for WMU this season.
Western Michigan is off this weekend and resumes MAC play next Friday at Toledo before returning home to host Buffalo on Sunday at 1 p.m.
