LAST WEEK
The Broncos are looking to recover from a 2-1 loss at Eastern Michigan on Sunday. The stumble extended the team's winless streak to four games, going 0-2-2 over the stretch after the team had started off 2-0 on the year. EMU held a 2-0 lead before
Claudia Schilling scored her first collegiate goal to cut the lead to 2-1 in the 71st minute. WMU picked up the pressure but the Eagle defense was able to withstand the onslaught of shots and hold on for the win.
SCOUTING THE HUSKIES
Northern Illinois heads into Thursday's game with a 1-5 record on the season. NIU's lone win came in overtime at Toledo back on March 7 and it was the only game the team has scored goals in this season, with Kierah Meier and Haley Hoppe responsible for them. Both Julia Lentz and Megan Donnally have shared action in goal for Northern Illinois, with Lentz starting in all five games and Donnally appearing in relief for both.
WMU opened the season at NIU, earning a 1-0 victory.
SCOUTING THE CARDINALS
Ball State heads to Toledo on Thursday before coming to Kalamazoo on Sunday. BSU currently sits at the top of the MAC West standings with a 4-1-1 record and are currently on a three-game winning streak with victories over NIU, EMU and Central Michigan.
Tatiana Mason leads the team with three goals, while Melissa Diceman has two. Nicky Potts has a goal and a team-high four assists. Maitane Bravo has played in every minute between the sticks this season, making 15 total saves and recording three shutouts.
The two teams battled to a 0-0 tie in Muncie back on March 12.
