Scouting the Broncos
Western Michigan heads into its two matches at Miami with an overall and conference record of 6-2. The Broncos are coming off a pair of four-set victories last week over in-state rival Central Michigan. Last week against CMU, WMU registered a stellar .271 attack percentage.
Duo Earns MAC West Weekly Honors
The duo of freshman 
Logan Case and senior 
Kaley Smith earned Mid-American Conference West division weekly honors. For the second straight week Case was named MAC West Setter of the Week. For the second time this season Smith was named MAC West Defensive Player of the Week.
Inching Closer to 1,000
Senior libero/defensive specialist 
Kaley Smith is just 49 digs away from 1,000 for her career. Smith could become just the 10
th player in school history to eclipse 1,000 career digs.
The 1,500 Club
Senior outside hitter 
Rachel Bontrager is 107 kills away from becoming the third player in school history to reach 1,500 kills in a career. Bontrager currently ranks sixth in school history in career kills.
Get One at Millett Hall
Western Michigan seeks its first win at Millett Hall since Sept. 23, 2017 when the Broncos defeated Miami in four sets.
Top 50 in the NCAA
The Broncos rank near the top in the NCAA in multiple statistical categories. WMU ranks 25
th in the nation in assists per set (12.97) and 31
st in kills per set (13.86).

Western Michigan along with Bowling Green are the only two teams in the MAC to rank in the top five in hitting percentage, assists, kills and service aces.
Dynamic Duo
The Broncos are one of three schools in the MAC to have two players rank in the top 10 in the conference in kills per set. Senior 
Rachel Bontrager ranks third in the MAC at 4.28 kills per set while sophomore 
Maggie King ranks 10
th at 3.33 kills per set.
