KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan women's tennis team improved to 7-0 on the season after defeating Wayne State University, 7-0, at West Hills Athletic Club on Wednesday afternoon.
It is the sixth-straight match in which the Broncos have won every point.
WMU went 3-0 in doubles play to secure the first point of the match. Kristin Tiraspolsy and
Karin Hamilton were the first to finish, defeating WSU's Melanie Zampardo and Suki Mandair 6-2 at No. 2. The duo of Lindsey Ziegler and Kaitlyn Rogosh clinched the doubles point at No. 3 after beating Sabrina Laynes and Iren van Meer 6-0. Junior

Ana Guadiana wrapped up doubles play at No. 1 with a 6-4 win over Lauar Cazacu and Linda Liong.
Guadiana was the first to finish in singles play, bumping up to No. 2 for the second time in her career. The Monterrey, Mexico native finished off Zampardo 6-1, 6-3, to improve to 6-0 on the season. Tjon-A-Joe improved to 3-1 on the season, all at No. 1, after defeating Liong 6-2, 6-2.
Kristina Tiraspolsky defeating Laynes at No. 4, 6-2, 6-2, while Kaitlyn Rogosh won against van Meer at No. 6, 6-3, 6-2. Hamilton beat Mandair at No. 3, 6-4, 6-0, while
Maya Perkucin improved to 4-0 on the season after wrapping up the match with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Carla Jewell at No. 5.
Western Michigan is back in action on Saturday against Kansas City, hosting the Roos at 1 p.m.
