CLEVELAND – The Mid-American Conference office announced the seedings and bracket for the 2021 MAC Volleyball Championship following the final matches of the regular season on Wednesday night. Western Michigan earned the fourth seed and is set to face No. 5 Toledo on Sunday, Nov. 21, at 4:30 pm in the quarterfinals.
The tournament will be hosted in Muncie, Ind., by regular season champion Ball State, who won its final 17 matches of the regular season to finish 17-1 in league play.
WMU begins its tournament run with fifth-seeded Toledo. The Broncos and Rockets met on Oct. 15-16 in Toledo during the regular season, with each team winning once. The winner of Sunday's contest faces top-seeded Ball State at 4:30 pm in Monday's semifinal round.
On the other side of the bracket, third-seeded Ohio takes on the number six seed, Northern Illinois. Reigning MAC Champion Bowling Green received the two seed, and awaits the winner of the OU-NIU match in the second semifinal on Monday evening. The championship match is set for 4:30 pm on Wednesday, Nov. 24.
