Scouting the Broncos
Western Michigan heads into Sunday's contest with an overall record of 1-5 and 0-4 in Mid-American Conference play. The Broncos have lost five straight contests and are coming off a 73-48 loss to Bowling Green on Wednesday.

Grounding the Eagles
Despite trailing the all-time series WMU holds a 26-19 advantage over EMU in Kalamazoo. The Broncos have also won five of the last eight meetings and three of the last four inside University Arena.

Senior Leadership
Redshirt senior Reilly Jacobson leads the Broncos at 13.8 points per game and has scored in double figures in four of WMU's first six games. Jacobson also ranks second on the team with 6.3 rebounds per contest.

Young Broncos
218 of WMU's 372 points this season have been scored by underclassmen, led by sophomore Sydney Shafer with 59 (9.8 ppg). WMU's underclassmen have accounted for 58.6 percent of WMU's total offense.

The Future is Bright
Western Michigan currently has eight underclassmen on the 2020-21 roster. WMU is the fifth youngest team in the MAC behind Toledo, BGSU, Miami and Akron.

Audino Joins the Squad
Freshman center Lauren Audino enrolled early to Western Michigan and has been approved to be added to the 2020-21 active roster. Audino recently played for the Canadian U16 women's national team where in the 2019 FIBA U16 Women's Americas Championship, averaged 6.3 points and 5.8 rebounds per game.

On the Horizon
Following Sunday's contest the Broncos hit the road for two straight beginning on Wednesday, Jan. 13 at Toledo. WMU then travels to Kent State on Saturday, Jan. 16.
