Bontrager Named MAC West Offensive Player of the Week
Senior outside hitter
Rachel Bontrager was named MAC West Offensive Player of the Week after registering 36 kills, averaging 4.50 per set last weekend at Toledo. Bontrager also ranked second on the team with a .333 attack percentage.
Smith Named MAC West Defensive Player of the Week
Senior libero/defensive specialist
Kaley Smith was named MAC West Defensive Player of the Week after leading the Broncos with 49 digs, averaging 6.12 digs per set. Smith leads the MAC in both total digs and digs per set. Smith also ranks eighth in the MAC in service aces per set.
Closing in on 300
Head Coach
Colleen Munson is inching closer to 300 wins at Western Michigan. Munson has an overall record of 297-191 as head coach of the Broncos and with three wins will become the second coach in school history to notch 300 wins as a Bronco.
Bring on the Aces
Western Michigan is averaging 1.38 service aces per set which ranks fourth in the MAC. WMU ranks second in the conference with 11 service aces.
One of the Best in the MAC
The Broncos are one of three teams in the MAC to rank in the top five in opponent hitting percentage, opponent assists, opponent kills and opponent digs.

Maggie King are one of the best duo's in the MAC with both ranking in the top ten in kills per set. Bontrager ranks sixth in the MAC with 4.50 kills per set while King ranks tenth at 3.38 kills per set.

What's Ahead?
Following this weekend's contest the Broncos travel to Ypsilanti, Mich. for a showdown with in-state foe Eastern Michigan, Feb. 4-5. WMU then returns home for a match-up with another in-state rival in Central Michigan, Feb. 11-12.
