Broncos Return Home to Play Buffalo Tuesday

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Looking to return to its winning ways the Western Michigan men's basketball team returns home for a match-up against Buffalo on Tuesday, Jan. 12 inside University Arena.

Scouting the Broncos
Western Michigan enters Tuesday's contest with an overall record of 2-7 and 1-3 in Mid-American Conference play. The Broncos are coming off an 80-54 road loss at Kent State on Saturday, Jan. 9.

Lockdown Broncos
The Broncos are the only team in the MAC to rank in the top four in scoring defense, opponent field goal percentage, opponent three-point field goal percentage and opponent free-throw percentage.

Double Digit White
Sophomore guard B. Artis White has scored in double figures in six straight game including a 12 point performance last Saturday at Kent State. White has scored in double figures in eight of the nine games the Broncos have played this season.

Launching From Deep
B. Artis White is tied for sixth in the MAC with 20 made three-pointers and has made at least one three in every contest this season.

Block Party
WMU ranks sixth in the MAC at 2.7 blocks per game with four Broncos having three or more blocks this season. Sophomore Titus Wright and junior Patrick Emilien lead the team with six blocks each.

Stopping the Bulls
The Broncos have lost five straight contests to Buffalo with their last win coming on Jan. 23, 2016. However, WMU holds a 7-6 advantage against the Bulls in Kalamazoo.

Sweet Lee
Senior forward Greg Lee leads the Broncos and ranks 8th in the MAC at 7.2 rebounds per game. Lee has totaled 65 rebounds this season with 17 coming on the offensive glass.

What's Up Next?
Following Tuesday's contest Western Michigan will host Miami at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 16. WMU will then hit the road for a showdown with in-state foe Eastern Michigan on Tuesday, Jan. 19.
