KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced on Wednesday that Western Michigan men's basketball student-athletes Adida Ikongshul, Jared Printy and Jason Whitens have been named to the 2019-20 NABC Honors Court.

The NABC Honors Court recognizes men's collegiate basketball student-athletes who excelled in academics during the past season. In order to be named to the Honors Court a student-athlete must be academically a junior or senior and a varsity player, matriculated at least one year at their current institution and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher.

WMU's three selections to the NABC Honors Court is tied for the most in program history, matching three selected back in 2008, 2015 and 2018. WMU's three selections is second in the Mid-American Conference behind Miami's five.

Adida Ikongshul has been named to the NABC Honors Court for the second year in a row after posting a 3.75 GPA in business administration. Ikongshul is a three-time Academic All-MAC honoree and on the court played in 82 games for the Brown & Gold. Ikongshul earned his bachelor's degree back in December and is currently working towards his master's degree at WMU.

For the second consecutive season Jared Printy has been named to the NABC Honors Court after posting a 3.78 cumulative GPA in sports management. Printy is also one of just 10 players in program history to earn Academic All-MAC honors three times. For his career the Cedar Rapids, Iowa native played in 108 games, making 18 starts and knocked down 85 three-pointers.

Redshirt junior Jason Whitens earns NABC Honors Court honors after accumulating a 3.40 cumulative GPA in sales & business marketing. Back in April Whitens was one of a program record five Broncos to be named Academic All-MAC. Last season Whitens played in all 32 games and ranked second on the team with 4.3 rebounds per game.
