CLEVELAND, Ohio - Senior Gabriela Slavova and freshman Lindsey Zieglar earned MAC Doubles Team of the Week accolades for women's tennis, as announced on Wednesday afternoon.

Slavova and Zieglar defeated 2019 All-Big East selection Milica Novakovic and her partner Giulia Turconi of Marquette 6-0 on Sunday at No. 2 doubles. In a 6-1 team win over Chicago State on Thursday, they played 2019 All-WAC honoree Katarina Drazic and her partner Lizi Morgoshia, with that contest being left unfinished at a 4-4 score.
 
This marks the second time this season that they have been named the MAC Doubles Team of the Week, with the first time happening on January 22. 

Western Michigan will travel to North Carolina for three non-conference matches at the beginning of next week, as they will face North Carolina A&T, Campbell and North Carolina Central.
