KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan women's tennis doubles team of Ayana Yaguchi and Julie Hoštáková won the 2026 Mid-American Conference Women's Tennis Fall Doubles Championship after downing Miami's Allie Faulkner and Maria Luisa Oliveira, 8-6.

Yaguchi and Hoštáková now head to the ITA Conference Masters Tournament for a chance to advance to the NCAA Individual Championships.

The duo had to battle back to win their championship. They were down 6-4 and then rattle off wins in four straight sets before a shot outside the lines by Faulkner clinched the win for the Bronco pair. They were no strangers to close matches throughout the tournament. They needed to go to a tie-breaker set in the quarterfinals and then won 8-6 in the semifinals to advance to Sunday's championship.
