Track & Field Wraps Up Regular Season at Alex Wilson Invitational

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Western Michigan track and field team wrapped up the indoor regular season on Saturday at the Alex Wilson Invitational at Notre Dame's Loftus Center.

The meet served as a final opportunity for the Broncos to improve their marks before next weekend's Indoor Mid-American Conference Championship at Akron.

Junior sprinter Tauja Foreman had the top finish on the day for WMU, taking sixth place in the 200-meter dash. Foreman ran a personal-best time of 25.45 seconds, taking .21 seconds off of her previous best.

Junior Audrey Pickering finished in seventh place in the weight throw, reaching a distance of 53-7 (16.33m). Junior Emily Meier took seventh in the shot put with a distance of 45-3 (13.79m) to wrap up the highlights in the field events for the Broncos.

Seniors Jasmine McLemore and Alex Bryant took seventh and eighth in the 400-meter dash. McLemore took seventh with a personal-best time of 57.83 seconds. Bryant ran a time of 58.03.
