Scouting the Broncos
Western Michigan is looking to halt a three-game losing skid as the Broncos head into Saturday's contest with an overall record of 11-15 and 4-9 in Mid-American Conference play. With five regular season games remaining, WMU is currently the No. 11 seed if the MAC Tournament were to begin.

The Dynamic Duo
Leading the offense for WMU is the duo of redshirt junior Brandon Johnson and junior Michael Flowers. Both are averaging in double figures this season with their 845 combined points making up 46.5 percent of WMU's total offense.

Joining Elite Company
With five assists vs. Akron on Tuesday night, junior Michael Flowers became the 12th player in school history to record 1,000 career points, 200 assists, 200 rebounds and 2,000 minutes. Last Saturday, Flowers became the 43rd member of WMU's 1,000-point club.

Johnson Looking to Join the 1K Club
Redshirt junior Brandon Johnson looks to etch his name into the WMU record book as the Chicago, Ill., native needs just 82 points to become the 44th member of the Western Michigan 1,000-point club.

Upper Peninsula Power
Redshirt sophomore Jason Whitens ranks second on the team this season with five rebounds per game. Whitens has recorded 13 games this season with at least five rebounds including a career-high 10 against Yale.

Spark Off the Bench
Junior Rafael Cruz Jr. has been a spark plug off the bench for the Broncos during the 2019-20 campaign. Cruz Jr. is averaging 18.6 minutes per game and ranks fourth on the team with 6.6 points per game.

Home Sweet Home
The Broncos are 8-4 at home this season and are averaging 76.6 points per game. WMU has won by an average margin of 7.3 points inside University Arena. With five regular season games remaining, three are at home (Toledo, NIU, EMU).

Scouting the Competition
If the MAC Tournament began today Toledo would be the No. 10 seed with an overall record of 12-14 and 4-9 in conference play. The Rockets last played on Friday, Feb. 14 against Buffalo, falling to the Bulls 83-67. Overall Toledo has lost six of its last seven contests.
