OMAHA, Neb. – Western Michigan senior Ethen Frank has been named National Collegiate Hockey Conference Forward of the Week after helping the Broncos go 2-1-1.
Frank had five points on the week, tallying three goals and two assists. The Papillion, Neb., native had an assist in WMU's 3-3 tie against Colorado College that sparked a three-game unbeaten streak. Frank had two goals, the first of the game and the last of the game, in the 5-2 win over Colorado College on Friday. Both goals came on the power play and it was the first multi-point game of the season. Frank then added a goal and an assist in WMU's loss to No. 1 North Dakota and finished the weekend with a +2 plus/minus.
Frank has six points on the season so far and his four goals lead the team.
The Broncos are back in action against No. 7 Denver on Tuesday at 4:35 p.m. WMU also battles Omaha on Friday at 8:35 p.m. before wrapping up action in the NCHC Pod on Saturday at 9:05 p.m. against the Pioneers.
