BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Western Michigan cross country team wrapped up its final regular season meet at the Falcon Invitational on Saturday at Bowling Green State University.
For the second straight meet senior
Rebecca McNamee paced the Broncos, finishing 12th overall in the 6k race. Also for a second straight meet she turned in a personal-best time, this time finishing at 22:22.2. McNamee took over a minute off of her previous personal best that she recorded last season at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championship.
WMU's second finisher on the afternoon was sophomore
Annalise James with a time of 23:46.8. Freshman
Brooke Soper finished just behind her with a time of 23:49.7 in her first collegiate 6k. Senior
Courtney Allen was Western Michigan's fourth finisher with a time of 24:23.8, while
Charlotte Ramser rounded out the top five for the team with a time of 24:42.1.
Toledo won the race, followed by Miami and the host Falcons. The Broncos finished eighth overall.
Western Michigan returns to Bowling Green on Nov. 21 for the 2020 Mid-American Conference Championships.
