Football Set to Host Northern Illinois Saturday

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – In the first of two straight home games the Western Michigan football team looks to continue its winning ways when it hosts Northern Illinois on Saturday, Nov. 28 inside Waldo Stadium. Kick-off is set for 12:00 p.m. on ESPN Plus.

• Junior running back La'Darius Jefferson rushed for 150 yards on 33 attempts, both career-highs in the win over Central Michigan
• Jefferson is the sixth player to rush for 100 or more yards under head coach Tim Lester

THE MOVERS UP FRONT
• The offensive line for the Broncos has been a key to WMU having the second ranked scoring offense in the nation
• The Bronco offensive line leads the MAC, allowing just three sacks this season

KAPPS & ESKRIDGE GARNER MAC WEST PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS
• Senior kicker Thiago Kapps was named MAC West Special Teams Player of the Week
• Kapps went a perfect 7-for-7 on PAT's against Central Michigan, marking the 10th time in his career Kapps has been perfect on PAT's
• Senior redshirt wide receiver D'Wayne Eskridge was named MAC West Offensive Player of the Week
• Eskridge against Central Michigan had four receptions for 212 yards and three touchdowns

ELEBY NAMED TO DAVEY O'BRIEN AWARD "GREAT 8" LIST
• For his performance last week at Central Michigan, redshirt sophomore quarterback Kaleb Eleby was named to the Davey O'Brien National Quarterback Award's "Great 8" List
• Eleby threw for a career-high 382 yards
• Eleby also set a new career-mark of five touchdown passes while rushing for another
• This season Eleby is completing nearly 68 percent of his passes to go along with 928 yards and 11 touchdowns
 
GAME RECAP –  BRONCOS SECURE THE VICTORY CANNON AFTER 52-44 WIN
• Last Wednesday the Broncos secured the Victory Cannon with a 52-44 victory over Central Michigan.
• The two teams combined for over 1,000 yards of offense with WMU outdueling CMU, 628-405
• It's the third year in a row Western Michigan has defeated Central Michigan
• WMU's 52 points were the second-most scored by the Broncos in a game against CMU.
