KALAMAZOO, Mich. – After putting on a dazzling performance in Western Michigan football's 52-44 win over Central Michigan, redshirt senior wide receiver D'Wayne Eskridge was named to this week's Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll, the Louisville Sports Commission announced on Monday. 

The Bluffton, Ind., native registered four receptions for 212 yards and three touchdowns in the victory over the Chippewas. It was the second time in his career Eskridge has eclipsed the 200-yard receiving mark with his three receiving touchdowns setting a new career-high.

Eskridge earned two of this three touchdowns in the third quarter with both being over 70 yards. It's the second and third time this season Eskridge has scored a receiving touchdown of at least 70 yards.  Eskridge also had two kick returns for 41 yards and recovered the final two CMU onside kicks.

Through three games, Eskridge leads the Broncos and the Mid-American Conference in yards (457), touchdowns (6), average yards per catch (32.6) and average yards per game (152.3). The do it all receiver also leads the MAC in all-purpose yards at 735
and ranks third in the league with 278 kick return yards.

Nationally, Eskridge leads the nation in all-purpose yards per game (245.0) and yards per reception while ranking second in the NCAA in receiving yards per game.

Eskridge and Western Michigan (3-0) return to the field on Saturday, Nov. 28 for a match-up with Northern Illinois inside Waldo Stadium. Kick-off is set for 12:00 p.m. and can be streamed on ESPN Plus.

The Paul Hornung Award presented by Texas Roadhouse, now in its 11^th season, is given annually to the most versatile player in major college football by the Louisville Sports Commission and football legend and Louisville native Paul Hornung. The winner and his family will be honored at the annual Paul Hornung Award dinner at the Galt House Hotel in downtown Louisville in March 2021.
