KALAMAZOO, Mich. – On Tuesday the Western Michigan men's basketball team announced its second non-conference match-up of the 2020-21 season. The Broncos will travel to South Bend, Ind., for a showdown with Notre Dame on Wednesday, Dec. 2.
Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m. inside Purcell Pavilion. Broadcasting information is yet to be determined.
It will be the 27
th meeting between the Broncos and the Fighting Irish with Notre Dame holding a 19-7 advantage. It will be the first meeting between the two schools since March 18, 1992. WMU's last win over Notre Dame was Feb. 28, 1966 (82-76) in Kalamazoo.
Last season Notre Dame finished with an overall record of 20-12 and 10-10 in Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) play.
It's the second announced non-conference game for Western Michigan with the Broncos opening the season on the road at Butler on Wednesday, Nov. 25. WMU's remaining 2020-21 schedule will continue to be released as it is finalized.
