CLEVELAND – It was a clean sweep for Western Michigan volleyball on Tuesday, earning Mid-American Conference West Division Offensive, Defensive and Setter honors.
Junior
Rachel Bontrager earned MAC West offensive player of the week while senior
Kathleen Reilly earned MAC West defensive player of the week. The duo of freshman

Mary Marzo shared the honor of MAC West setter of the week.
Over the weekend at the Purdue Fort Wayne Invitational, Bontrager earned tournament MVP honors after registering 52 kills with seven service aces and 33 digs. In three matches, Bontrager averaged 4.00 kills per set and registered a .389 attack percentage.
Against host school Purdue Fort Wayne, Bontrager earned her first double-double of the season with 17 kills and 18 digs in a five set victory over the Mastodons. The Valparaiso, Ind., native followed up that performance with 21 kills, hitting .429 against Northern Kentucky. Bontrager is now just 93 kills away from becoming a member of WMU's 1,000-kill club.
Senior
Kathleen Reilly led the Broncos defensively with 60 digs, notching over 20 in two of the three matches at the Purdue Fort Wayne Invitational en route to All-Tournament team honors. The Overland Park, Kan., native registered 4.62 digs per set and had just four receiving errors in over 100 attempts.
Reilly nearly achieved a double-double in the tournament finale against Northern Kentucky, compiling 25 digs to go along with eight assists and one service ace. On the weekend, Reilly and the Broncos held opponents to just a .200 attack percentage.
Freshman
Rose Duffy earns her first career MAC player of the week honor after totaling 88 assists over the weekend at the Purdue Fort Wayne Invitational. Duffy collected two double-doubles in the three matches played and averaged 6.77 assists per set and 2.23 digs per set.
Duffy captured her first career double-double against Purdue Fort Wayne, recording 40 assists and 10 digs in a five-set victory. The Fishers, Ind., native earned her second straight double-double against Northern Kentucky with 13 digs and 32 assists.
Junior
Mary Marzo joins Duffy as MAC setter of the week, totaling 52 assists in three matches at the Purdue Fort Wayne Invitational. Marzo averaged 4.00 assists and 2.00 digs per set along with five total service aces.
In her first career contest in the Brown & Gold, Marzo registered a double-double with 16 assists and 10 digs against South Alabama. Marzo notched her second double-double of the weekend in the tournament finale with 20 assists and 11 digs against Northern Kentucky.
