Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Broncos Fall to Loyola Chicago, 4-1

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan women's soccer team wrapped up non-conference play, falling to Loyola Chicago, 4-1, at the WMU Soccer Complex on Friday afternoon.
 
The Ramblers scored three goals in the span of eight minutes to jump out to a 3-0 lead in the first half. The first goal came in the 19th minute by Sienna Cruz. Madi Rosen scored in the 24th minute to push the lead to 2-0 before Simone Wark made it 3-0.
 
LUC added a fourth goal on a penalty kick in the 53rd minute, with Wark converting for her third of the season to make it 4-0.
 
The Broncos (2-5-0) got on the board in the 65th minute. Junior forward Bailey Korhorn converted a penalty kick of her own for her second goal of the season to cut the lead to 4-1.

WMU outshot Loyola Chicago 5-3 in the second half but was unable to overcome the steep deficit. Korhorn led all Broncos with four shots on the day, while freshman forward Reagan Wisser fired off two shots, both landing on target, in her first collegiate start.
 
Western Michigan opens Mid-American Conference play on Friday, Sept. 27 at 4 p.m. against Kent State at the WMU Soccer Complex. The Broncos are also home next Sunday, welcoming Ohio at 1 p.m.
