Reilly Claims Third Straight MAC West Defensive POTW Honor

CLEVELAND – For the third consecutive week, Western Michigan volleyball senior libero Kathleen Reilly has been named Mid-American Conference West Division Defensive player of the week, the conference office announced on Monday.

Over the weekend at the Panther Invitational in Milwaukee, Wisc., Reilly registered 60 digs, averaging 5.45 per set en route to leading the Broncos to a 2-1 record. Reilly notched double-digit digs in all three contests including 30 in a five-set victory over Butler.

The 30 digs for Reilly was the second most in a single-match this season as her 189 this season lead the Broncos. The senior libero has recorded at least 20 digs in five of the nine matches this season and is just 70 digs away from surpassing the 2,000-mark for her career.

Through nine games, Reilly ranks third in the MAC with 5.11 digs per set and ranks 30th in the NCAA in total digs.
