Dugan, Printy, Ikongshul Named to NABC Honors Court

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced on Wednesday that Western Michigan men's basketball student-athletes Jared Printy, Adida Ikongshul and Seth Dugan have been named to the 2018-19 NABC Honors Court.

The NABC Honors Court recognizes men's collegiate basketball student-athletes who excelled in academics during the past season. In order to be named to the Honors Court, a student-athlete must be a junior or season and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher.

WMU's three selections to the NABC Honors Court is tied for the most in program history, matching three selected back in 2009 and 2015. WMU along with Central Michigan and Toledo are the only schools from the Mid-American Conference to have student-athletes earn the academic honor.

Seth Dugan earns NABC Honors Court honors for the second year in a row after posting a 3.97 GPA in finance. In his senior campaign, Dugan was named Academic All-MAC for the third year in a row and a CoSIDA Academic First Team All-American.

Senior Jared Printy was named to the NABC Honors Court after cumulating a 3.70 GPA in sports management. Printy is also two-time Academic All-MAC selection while on the court played in 29 games for the Brown & Gold, starting 16.

Fellow senior Adida Ikongshul earned NABC Honors Court honors with a 3.49 GPA in management. Ikongshul this past season was named Academic All-MAC for the second year in a row and on the court played in 29 games, averaging 1.4 rebounds per contest.

Located in Kansas City, Missouri, the NABC founded in 1927 by Phog Allen, the legendary basketball coach at the University of Kansas, a student of James Naismith, the inventor of basketball, organized coaches into this collective group to serve as Guardians of the Game. The NABC currently has nearly 5,000 members consisting primarily of university and college men's basketball coaches.
