Piotrowicz Promoted to Associate Head Baseball Coach

KALAMAZOO, Mich. –  Entering his sixth season with Western Michigan baseball, Adam Piotrowicz has been promoted to Associate Head Baseball Coach / Recruiting Coordinator as announced by WMU baseball head coach Billy Gernon on Friday.

"Adam is a tireless recruiter with a tremendous work ethic. The level of ownership he takes in so many areas is what impresses me the most," said Gernon. "Pitrowicz has been and remain totally invested in leading Bronco baseball to another championship and I am excited to give him this well-deserved promotion."

Piotrowicz is involved in all facets of the program at WMU and works closely with the catches and hitters along with being the recruiting coordinator. In his six seasons at WMU, Piotrowicz has helped seven hitters go on to play at the professional level.

In all three of his coaching stops at Heidelberg University, Valparaiso University and WMU, Piotrowicz has helped guide the program to an NCAA Tournament berth. Piotrowicz was also instrumental in the Broncos' capturing their first MAC Tournament title back in 2016.

"Piotrowicz's fingerprints are all over our program including several All-MAC honors, draft picks, Tanner Allison being named MAC Player of the Year in 2017 and without a doubt our 2016 NCAA berth and MAC Tournament title," said Gernon.
