CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Western Michigan softball team landed seven student-athletes on the Academic All-Mid-American Conference team, as released by the MAC on Tuesday morning.
Jenna Faultersack (3.57, sport management), Reily Galloway (3.70, accountancy), Kaylen Glenfield (3.98, business), Jordan Kurth (3.85, computer information systems), Skyler Sobeski (3.78, accountancy), Sydney Stefanick (3.57, exercise science), Mackenzie Swinehart (3.20, youth & community development), and Brook Wyman (3.73, sales & business marketing) all earn the honors.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
Faultersack, Glenfield, Kurth, Sobeski, Swinehart and Wyman are all repeat selections from last year, while Galloway and Stefanick earn the honors in their first year of eligibility.
