Western Michigan returns home the following weekend for its regular season finale series versus Ohio, May 16-18. WMU has an overall record of 16-27 and 9-10 in conference play.

Pitt got on the board early in the bottom of the first, connecting on a two out solo home run to right field on a 2-1 count to grab an early 1-0 lead.

In the top of the fourth the Broncos tied the game off the bat of Grys who blasted his second home run of the season over the right center field wall to knot the game at 1-1. The tie didn't last for long as Pitt regained the lead after a bases loaded groundout in the bottom half of the fourth.

WMU responded in the top of the fifth, scoring a run on no hits while capitalizing on a Pitt error. After senior Jesse Forestell drew a walk with one out, the Broncos had runners on first and second after Dunn reached on an error by the Pitt third baseman.

Dunn gave WMU runners on the corners in the next at-bat stealing his 27th base of the season. Dunn's 27 stolen bases leads the MAC and ranks 21st in the NCAA. The Saugatuck, Mich., native scored the next at-bat after a groundout to the Pitt shortstop to tie the game at 2-2.

The game was tied at 2-2 until the Pitt offense came to life in the final five innings, scoring 12 of its 14 runs including four in the sixth to widen its lead and secure the midweek match-up victory.
