INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -Â The NCAA Division I Men's Tennis Committee announced the 2019 championship bracket during the selection show Monday, April 29, with Western Michigan men's tennis selected to compete in a four-team regional at the University of Illinois at the Khan Outdoor Tennis Complex in Urbana, Ill., May 3-4.Â
In case of inclement weather, matches will move to the Atkins Tennis Center indoor courts.
Hosting the regional site is No. 15 seed Illinois, runners up in the Big Ten. Rounding out the regional includes the No. 24-ranked University of California, Berkeley and Drake University.Â

First Round
Friday, May 3
2 p.m. – No. 24 California vs. Drake
5 p.m. – No. 15 Illinois vs. Western Michigan
Second Round
Saturday, May 4
4 p.m. – California/Drake winner vs. Illinois/Western Michigan winner

Students - $3.00
Tickets for the First and Second Rounds can be purchased at the Khan Outdoor Tennis Complex starting one hour prior to the first match each day. One ticket is valid for one admission to all matches on the day the ticket is purchased.
Sixty-four schools were selected to the team bracket. The first and second rounds will take play at campus sites May 3-4, followed super-regional competition May 10-11. The 2019 championship will be conducted May 16-25 at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla. The men's team semifinals and title match are scheduled for May 18 and 19, respectively.
All matches will be regulation dual matches. Three doubles matches consisting of six-game sets will be played for one team point, followed by six singles matches, each valued at one team point; played the best of three sets. The first school to four team points will advance in the bracket.
Thirty conferences were granted automatic qualification for their conference champions. The Broncos received an automatic bid with their second consecutive and 13th Mid-American Conference Championship in program history, defeating Northern Illinois University 4-3 April 21 at Sorensen Courts in Kalamazoo, Mich.
