BUFFALO, N.Y. - The The No. 3 seeded Western Michigan women's tennis team fell 5-0 in the quarterfinal round of the Mid-American Conference Tournament versus the No. 6 seed, host school University at Buffalo Friday afternoon, ending the Broncos' season.
Buffalo went up 1-0 in doubles, winning at courts one and three, and carried its momentum into singles competition with first set wins at one through six.Â
UB went up 3-0 win wins at the No. 5 & 6 spots, but the Broncos didn't go down without a fight, answering at the 1-4 spots as Lyubomirova, Azcui, Tjon-A-Joe, and Fevralev each bounced back to force third sets. However, the Bulls prevailed at courts two and three simultaneously in the third set to clinch the match.Â
