KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Western Michigan women's tennis team is set to compete in the 2019 Mid-American Conference Tournament at the University at Buffalo April 26-28. WMU received the No. 3 seed and will take on host school, No. 6 seed Buffalo on Friday at 2 p.m. in the quarterfinal round.Â
Western Michigan had a chance to clinch a share of the MAC regular season title with a pair of road matches to close out the regular season last weekend, but came up short at Miami and Bowling Green to finish 4-3 in the MAC with a 12-10 overall record.Â

TOURNAMENT HISTORY
The Broncos are five-time MAC Tournament Champions, with the last title coming in 2007. A season ago, WMU missed the conference tourney for the first time in four years, and will be seeking a berth into the semifinal and championship rounds for the first time since 2016. Seniors

Melina Lyubomirova helped guide the 2016 Broncos to the MAC Championship their rookie seasons, in which the Brown & Gold fell 4-0 vs. No. 1 seed Ball State.Â
