CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Mid-American Conference announced the women's tennis singles player and doubles team of the week on Wednesday, April 10, with Denise Azcui representing Western Michigan women's tennis as the Singles Player of the Week.

Senior co-captain Azcui at No. 2 singles won 7-5, 6-4 over Akron's Miruna Vasilescu, giving the Broncos a 3-2 advantage, which eventually led to a 4-3 victory on Sunday, April 7 during WMU's first outdoor match of the spring season at Sorensen Courts.

The Broncos host Toledo next Sunday, April 14 during senior day and the final regular season home match. Doubles are scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
