KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Western Michigan volleyball head coach
Colleen Munson announced the Broncos 2019 spring schedule on Tuesday.
WMU will compete in two tournaments on April 13 and April 20 and will square off with four different Big Ten Conference opponents including in-state foes Michigan and Michigan State.
The spring slate begins on Friday, March 29 against Loyola-Chicago at the Dunes Event Center in La Porte, Ind. The Broncos and the Ramblers met during the 2018 regular season at the Delta Hotel by Marriott Kalamazoo Conference Center Tournament.
Western Michigan will then head to Angola, Ind. for the Fort Wayne Tournament on Saturday, April 13. The Brown & Gold will play four matches at the tournament against Valparaiso, Indiana, Northwestern and in-state rival Central Michigan.
The Broncos conclude their spring season at the Grand Rapids Tournament at Aquinas College on Saturday, April 20. WMU plays against three in-state schools in Michigan, Michigan State and CMU.
WMU returns 11 players from last year's squad including four seniors and First Team All-MAC performer
