MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The Western Michigan women's tennis team fell 4-3 at Marquette University Friday, Feb. 8, dropping to 4-3 overall on the season.Â
The home team secured the doubles point with wins at the No. 1 and No. 3 spots, while WMU's No. 2 freshman pair of Tiraspolsky and Tjon-A-Joe had their match go unfinished.Â
In singles competition, the Brown & Gold took three points at the No. 2-4 positions, with victories from Azcui, Fevralev, and Tjon-A-Joe. Marquette won at 5-6 while senior co-captain Lyubomirova fell in a third-set tiebreaker at No. 1.Â
