The Western Michigan women's basketball team finished competition at the Puerto Rico Classic on Sunday, Dec. 22, going 1-1 in the tournament. In the inaugural meeting between WMU and the Pioneers, Western Michigan converted 44 points in the paint and shot a season-high 50.0 (31-of-62) percent from the field, earning 19 points off Denver turnovers and outrebounding the Pioneers 36-34. Breanna Mobley again led the Broncos with her seventh double-double of the season (36th career), tallying a season-high 23 points and a ten rebounds. Redshirt sophomore
Jordan Walker followed close behind with 22 points, paced by her four three-point field goals. Fellow starter
Leighah-Amori Wool notched ten points and six rebounds, with a game-high three blocks.
The Broncos struggled behind Stony Brook on shooting from the field, converting 18 field goals off 56 attempts. Both sides were rife with turnovers, the Broncos accumulating 14 and the Seawolves 28 total. WMU scored ten points off SBU turnovers with 20 points in the paint. Kamrin Reed led Western Michigan with 16 points, one point shy of a season-high. She converted a career-high four threes off seven attempts.
Leighah-Amori Wool also scored in the double-digits with 12 points, adding a team-high three assists and four steals.
Breanna Mobley led the defenders with nine rebounds in the contest.
SERIES HISTORY
Saturday's contest will mark the tenth all-time meeting between Western Michigan and Loyola-Chicago. The Broncos have won four of the last five games against the Ramblers with a 6-3 record overall. Last time out on Dec. 3, 2018, WMU fell to their opponent at home 64-53 for Loyola's first win against the Brown & Gold in four games.
SCOUTING THE BRONCOS
The Broncos enter Monday's match having split their games at the Puerto Rico Classic, beating Denver by a 79-70 margin and narrowly missing a comeback against Stony Brook, falling 47-50. Western has won four of their last five contests, including three on the road. Redshirt sophomore

Breanna Mobley is averaging 13.6 points and 10.1 rebounds per game, the latter a conference best.
SCOUTING THE RAMBLERS
The Ramblers are currently 9-1 on the season, their sole loss coming against No. 16 Depaul on December 20. They are led in scoring and rebounding by junior Abby O'Connor as she averages 14.5 points and 8.2 rebounds per game. Pacing O'Connor is Allison Day, sharing the leading scorer spot with 14.5 points and adding 5.3 rebounds and a team-high seven blocks. Picked to finish seventh in the Missouri Valley Conference, the Ramblers have the best non-conference record in the league and are currently receiving votes in the College Insider Mid-Major Top 25 Poll.
COUNTDOWN TO 1000
Breanna Mobley has the chance to hit a unique Bronco milestone this season. She currently holds fourth place in the individual career records for rebounds with 880 and counting, and became a member of the 1,000-point club against Miami on Jan. 20, 2018. If she tallies at least 1,000 rebounds this season she will become the second ever Bronco to reach both 1,000 points and rebounds, alongside former WMU player and coach Pat Charity, who hit the milestone in the 1977-78 season.
SCORING MACHINE
Jordan Walker continues to dominate the Bronco scoresheet, averaging 15.7 points per contest. She currently holds the sixth-highest scoring average in the conference and is in the top 150 of points per game in the NCAA.
DOUBLE-DOUBLE TROUBLE
Breanna Mobley is averaging a double-double this season with 13.6 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. She ranks 16
th in the MAC in scoring and has held the leading rebounder spot since November 26.
