MADISON, Wis. – Western Michigan senior Brittney Hall wrapped up the 2019 season like she had done all year, pacing the WMU cross country team as it wrapped up the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championship at the University of Wisconsin's Zimmerman Championship Course on Friday.
Hall finished 80th overall and ran a time of 22:01.8 in the 6k race, just two seconds shy of matching her personal best. Classmate Juliane Sormain finished behind her in 105th with a time of 22:22.1 as WMU's no. 2. Freshman Annalise James finished her cross country season strong by running a new 6k personal best time of 22:49.5 to wrap up the race as Western Michigan's third finisher. James bested her previous best team of 23:30.7 that she ran at the Under Armour Pre-Nationals.
Sophomore Paisley Sipes finished two spots behind James in 135th, with a time of 22:50.5. Sipes' time was the second-fastest 6k run in her two-year career with the Broncos. Junior Courtney Alley finished out WMU's top five with a time of 23:14.4. Also competing for the Broncos were Rebecca McName, 23:30.3, and freshman Ashley Shipps, 23:43.2.
