KALAMZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan hockey team spends its fourth straight week ranked in the national polls, coming in at No. 18 in the US College Hockey Online poll.
The USCHO.com Poll consists of 50 voters, including coaches and beat writers and sports professionals from across the country. The poll, published weekly by the Associated Press, is a production of USCHO.com, which provides in-depth coverage of college hockey.
The Broncos are also receiving votes in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll.
WMU is coming off the wrong end of a sweep against Bowling Green, dropping a pair of 2-1 decisions last weekend. The team looks to rebound against state rivals Michigan on Friday and Saturday. Western Michigan makes the trip to Yost Ice Arena on Friday for a 7:30 p.m. start. The game can be heard live on the Bronco Radio Network and it will be streamed on BTN Plus. Saturday's game returns to Lawson Ice Arena for a 7:05 p.m., available on the Bronco Radio Network and NCHC.tv.
