Broncos Ranked Fourth in Latest North Region Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Western Michigan men's soccer team is ranked fourth in the latest United Soccer Coaches North Region poll, which was released on Monday.

The Broncos moved up three spots from #7 after earning a 2-1 non-conference victory at Michigan on Thursday and a 1-1 draw against the reigning College Cup runner-up Akron in Mid-American Conference action. Western Michigan is currently enjoying a six game unbeaten streak, earning a 5-0-1 record in the month of October. 

Three other MAC programs were featured, with SIU Edwardsville coming in at #6, and Bowling Green and West Virginia rounding out the top ten at #9 and #10 respectively. 

WMU also appeared in the College Soccer News top 30 national poll for the first time this season, receiving votes along with ten other schools. 

The Broncos will take on Northern Illinois in DeKalb this Friday to continue their MAC schedule.
