Two Western Michigan players scored in double figures including junior Deja Wimby's team-high 13 points to go along with three assists and two steals in 22 minutes. Junior counterpart Breanna Mobley scored her 18th consecutive double digit scoring game with 10 points and tied a team-high five rebounds.

A key stat of the game was the 14 Bronco turnovers in the first half alone and 17 for the game that led to 23 points off turnovers for the Cardinals. As a team, Western Michigan shot 43.5 percent in the first half and 35.1 percent for the game. Ball State shot a staggering 47 percent for the game and 31 percent from behind the arc. WMU was outrebounded by 14 while BSU added 36 points in the paint compared to just 22 for the Brown & Gold.

The Broncos got off to an early 5-4 lead, forcing the Cardinals to turn the ball over on their first three possessions but the Ball State offense exploded from there using a 8-0 run to garner a first quarter lead of 14 points. The second quarter BSU hit its first 4-of-5 three pointers to take a 48-27 advantage into the break.

The second half was much of the same as the Broncos just couldn't come back, allowing their opponents to score the second most this season and falling to 1-6 against MAC West opponents this season.

Four Cardinals scored in double figures led by Jasmin Samz who scored a game-high 17 as Ball State improves to 22-4 overall and 11-4 in league play.

Western Michigan heads back to Kalamazoo for a much needed home game on Saturday, Feb. 24 as the Broncos host rival Central Michigan at 2 p.m. inside University Arena for "Alumni Day". The final home regular-season contest is tabbed for Wednesday, Feb. 28 against Eastern Michigan as the five seniors will be honored for Senior Night.
