WMU Travels to Dayton for Final Non-Conference Road Game

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – In its final non-conference road game Western Michigan men's basketball travels down to Ohio for a match-up with Dayton on Wednesday, Dec. 19 inside UD Arena.

Scouting the Broncos
Western Michigan heads into the match-up with an overall record of 5-5 and is coming off a 70-62 loss at No.5 Michigan on Saturday. On the road this season the Broncos are 2-3, averaging 70.2 points per game away from Kalamazoo.

Flowers Named MAC West Player of the Week
After scoring a career-high 31 points at No.5 Michigan, sophomore guard Michael Flowers was named Mid-American Conference west division player of the week on Monday.  Flowers was 9-of-16 from the field against the Wolverines and 10-of-11 from the free-throw line. The Southfield, Mich., native also corralled seven rebounds.

Double-Double Dugan
Senior Seth Dugan ranks 18th in the NCAA with five double-doubles. The senior center also ranks third in the MAC and 21st in the nation with 9.9 rebounds per game.

Automatic from Downtown
Junior guard Jared Printy has been automatic from long distance, making at least one three-pointer in 11 consecutive regular season games. Printy leads the team with 20 three-pointers and ranks 10th in the MAC with two threes' made per game.

Off to a Fast Start
The Broncos have gotten off to a fast start outscoring its opponents 357-328 in the first 20 minutes of play.

Non-Conference Success
Since 2002, the Broncos have complied 116 victories against non-conference opponents.

On the Horizon
Western Michigan returns home for its final two non-conference games, hosting Milwaukee on Saturday, Dec. 22 followed by UC Riverside on Sunday, Dec. 30. The Broncos begin MAC play on the road at Akron (Jan.5) and at Kent State (Jan.8).
