KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Western Michigan baseball head coach
Billy Gernon announced its winter camp dates on Tuesday, hosting a Youth Comprehensive Skills Camp on Saturday, Dec. 15 and an Advanced Skills Development Camp on Sunday, Dec. 16.
The Youth Comprehensive Skills Camp will cover the fundamental aspects of hitting, fielding, throwing and base running. The camp will be run by Coach Gernon who embarks on his ninth season at the helm of the Broncos. Under Gernon, WMU has had
nine Broncos drafted including the 54
th overall pick in the draft
Keegan Akin in 2016.
WMU's youth comprehensive skills camp is for ages, 8-12 and is $70 (includes camp t-shirt).

The Advanced Skills Development camp is targeted to improve individual skills for those that desire to play at the highest level of collegiate baseball. The hitting and base running camp will include stationary and progression drills to become a better player while the pitching and catching camp will focus on fundamental and mechanical instruction.
WMU's advanced skills development camps is for ages, 13-20 and is $65 for one camp and $110 for both camps.

The camps will take place in WMU's state of the art, $22 million Seelye Indoor Center, which includes six hydraulic cages and multiple indoor pitching mounds. The location for the Seelye Center is at Stadium Drive and W. Main Street in Kalamazoo right next to the Broncos football stadium, Waldo Stadium.
