KALAMAZOO, Mich.- This holiday season, the Western Michigan Athletics Student-Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) will be hosting two events to raise money for families in need in the Kalamazoo Area. The money raised from both events will go towards Adopt-A-Family. Below are the details for each event.

Pie-in-the-Face Competition

• Fundraising Begins: Wednesday, November 14th
• Fundraising Ends: Wednesday, December 5th
• There will be collection jars, one corresponding to each head coach that is participating, in the weight rooms at the Seelye Center and Read Fieldhouse
• Place donations into the jar of the head coach that you want to see get pied
• The top three coaches with the most money collected in their jar will get a pie to the face at the student-athlete dodgeball tournament
• Participating coaches: Shane Clipfell (WBB), Steve Hawkins (MBB), Kathy Leitke (SB), Tim Lester (FB), Dave Morin (MTEN), Colleen Munson (VB), Andy Murray (HKY), Al Scharns (GYM), Elise Swartout-Mosher (GLF), Pat Tracy (T&F), Ryan Tomlinson (WTEN) and Chad Wiseman (MSOC).

Dodge! For a Good Cause

• WHAT: Holiday Themed Student-Athlete Dodgeball Tournament
• WHEN: Thursday, December 6th from 7-8:30 p.m.
• WHERE: Seelye Center on the indoor football field
